Dear Children and Parents,
I am sure that you waited and watched eagerly the latest announcement from the PM last night. I am also certain that you were left confused as it seemed to give mixed messages. Hopefully there will be further clarification over the next few days.
As a result, I just wanted to write to you to clarify our position as a school. The main thing I took from the message is that nothing has changed. We are still in lockdown and schools are still closed (apart from for vulnerable children or children of key worker parents).
The PM set out possible plans for the phased re-opening of schools in June. At this time, we have no further information other than what the PM said last night. When the expectations and arrangements for this become clearer, I will contact you again with further details.

In the meantime, I would urge you to follow guidelines strictly to ensure the safety of yourselves and others.

Best wishes,

Mr Nicholls (Headteacher).

All the staff at Nanpean are thinking about the children and also the families we are used to seeing almost every week. Life may be different at the moment, but we look forward to seeing you all in person when we're told the time is right. We hope that you are safe and well. Here's a message from us...

Hello. We are  Kadie and Charlie, and are delighted to be Head Girl and Head Boy here at Nanpean School. A very warm welcome awaits all visitors to our school. All pupils here, have the opportunity to shine, whether it is through our interesting class-based lessons, as part of one of Nanpean’s successful Youth Speaks teams, or joining in with our extensive sporting activities, including swimming galas, rugby and cricket coaching, plus sailing at Polkerris beach. How lucky are we?
