School continues to be very different without many of you here. However, following the announcement last week stating that schools will be fully open from September, we (myself and all other staff) look forward to seeing you then.
Despite this, school will be different in some ways in September, as we are still following the latest guidance to plan for this.
Please carefully read the letter below so you are aware of how we are following the guidance and the implications of this.
Further information and details will be sent over the next couple of weeks and will include details regarding timings and entrances to be used, for example.
As always, I send my best wishes to you all and the Nanpean community.
Mr M Nicholls (Headteacher)
At Nanpean Primary we will provide every child with a safe and healthy environment in which to learn and develop the skills they need to be positive members of the community. We believe that the primary years are such an important time, laying the foundations for so much that follows. We therefore do our best to make the children's time with us as enjoyable and productive as it can be.The hard work of the children, staff and governors gives us confidence that we are moving the school in the right direction according to the wants and needs of its children and parents. Feedback from parents have indicated that the inspiring teaching of interesting topics in school has created happy, enthusiastic children.
Dear Children and Parents,Unfortunately, due to the current situation with Covid-19, we are having to make some further changes to our staffing structure for 2020-21.These have been made with the safety of staff and children being of paramount importance, while ensuring that we will be able to support the needs of the children in different classes when they return to school in September.Next week, your new Teacher will introduce themselves to you on Class Dojo!Eden (Year R): Mrs Hayes and Miss Dash.Hendra (Year 1): Miss Morrison, Miss Morton and Miss Rosevear (an appointment will be made to cover Miss Morton's Maternity Leave).Prosper (Year 2): Mrs Cooper, Miss Bevis (when she returns from Maternity Leave), Mrs Williams, Mr Bacon.Karslake (Year 3): Mr Parker, Miss Brotherhood (when she returns from Maternity Leave) and Mrs Grindrod.Melbur (Year 4): Mr Barritt, Mrs Kitts, Mrs Cocks and Mrs Wade.Drinnick (Year 5): Mrs Jago, Mrs Varney, Mrs Cocks and Mrs Wade.Rosemellyn (Year 6): Mr Tonkin and Mrs Miskowicz.Once again, my apologies for the late change, but the current situation has meant this is a necessity.Best wishes to you all, myself and the staff can't wait to see you in your new classes in September!Take care,Mr M Nicholls (Headteacher)
