Nanpean Breakfast Bagels

As we are currently unable to provide 'Breakfast Bagels' each morning, we have ensured we are eligible for breakfast deliveries as happened during lockdown. When these arrive, they will be distributed so each child will take home a 'breakfast pack'. We expect this to be every two weeks and should include cereal, porridge and bagels. This will help to ensure that you can provide your child a healthy brekfast before the start of the school day.

School Closure Update

As you know, our school joined the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which provides breakfast, available to everyone for free! During the school closures, they have provided us with breakfast items to distribute to our families. Any family, can collect a bag of bagels, a box of cereal and a large tin of beans from our school office. Please collect from the school office between 8.45am-3.10pm today or Friday. Please obey social distancing rules when coming into the school office to collect. We hope this provision will be helpful to any of our families at this difficult time. We will let you know when we have run out but we will be receiving an even bigger delivery in a fortnight to feed even more of our families!

The National School Breakfast Programme

Our school has joined the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. As a NSBP School we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.

Research has shown that children who have a healthy breakfast achieve more at school!

Top quality bagels will be on offer to all Nanpean School children, free of charge!

Trays of warm bagels will be available at the entrance doors as children come into school. Any child who wants one, can take a bagel back to class with them to enjoy every day. Only bagels will be on offer and consideration has been given to dietary requirements.

Available to all children, and it’s totally free!

Article 24: Every child has the right to the best possible health. Government must provide good quality healthcare, clean water, nutritious food, and a clean environment and education on health and wellbeing so that children can stay healthy.
