Waterstones Visit

Reading Challenge Reward
Visit to Waterstones
All year, Nanpean pupils have been busy earning their reading points for the 'Reading Challenge'. They could earn these points by engaging in a reading activity at home and recording it in their reading record book. The top prize was a visit to Waterstones bookshop where the children got to pick their own book to take home! To achieve this wonderful prize, pupils had to earn 200 reading points in Reception - Year 1 or 300 points in Year 2 - Year 6. Years 2 - 6 had a higher target as they could earn bonus points by passing their Accelerated reader quizzes in school.

This is the second year that we have run this exciting reading reward and are delighted that, this year, we had to do the visit in two separate trips due to an incredible number of pupils achieving their maximum reading points.

A huge well done to Nanpean pupils for being such keen readers at home.
