Incursio Kernow!

Our topic explores Cornwall, Cornishness and the impact of what some people believe to be a modern invasion on culture and lifestyle. Incursio is derived from the Latin for invasion and we will investigate positive and negative influences of modern life on everything from traditions, people in the local area and even the wildlife!

Melbur is our Year 4 class taught by Mrs Jago on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs Varney is provides Teaching Assistant support. Ms Trula joins us on a Monday afternoon to teach Spanish. Mr Bacon leads the in school P.E lessons.

We will be taking a class trip to Wheal Martyn and visiting the clay trails for some outdoor learning.

More details will follow, but we are feeling very excited about finding out more about Cornish Industry.

Year 4 are excited to be part of the groups of children from Nanpean going to learn sailing at Polkerris beach through The Roseland Trust.  We cannot wait to get out on the open water - cross your fingers about the weather for us please!
